Hi! I’m Karen.
I teach Pilates to anyone looking to find more strength, effective movement patterns for everyday activities, and a deeper mind-body connection.
I have appreciated the joy of movement from a very young age, beginning ballet lessons at age two. In 2015, I discovered Pilates as a way to rehab a severe neck and back injury. Training under the instruction of Jean Sullivan through ITT Pilates, I have gained vast knowledge of human anatomy and biomechanics.
I have experience working with clients of all skill levels, aged 12-91.
I incorporate functional movement and creative exercise into every session. “Intelligent Movement” defines my teaching style as all of my instruction is rooted in kinesiology and specifically, exercise science. Bringing small adjustments and detailed cues, I train people to become more aware of their own form. I bring enthusiasm, warmth, humor and motivation to my clients. I love helping my clients break the pain cycle, gain confidence, and become stronger and more efficient movers.
